Re: Boatball, TUESDAY, 5:30 PM, West Fork
Our typical time for boatball is Wednesday nights after work around 5:30 till dark. In the spring and early summer we meet up at Riverside Park in West Fork. In the summer and fall we move to Chamber Springs on the Illinois.
Unfortunately, boatball season hasn't really started yet. We just got lucky on Tuesday with 75 degree weather and just took advantage of it at the last minute.
I haven't seen anyone with a tandem yet, but I look forward to the day. I paddle a 13.5' solo and stick out like a sore thumb with all the kayaks buzzing around.
Watch the message boards for the next game maybe next Wednesday or the following Wednesday. Just watch the weather and river levels. Nice weather and low river levels will almost guarantee a game, if the creeks are up most will float them instead.
Look forward to seeing you out there,
kru

I say, and I intend it emphatically, let the river be.

Blackbird - Paddle what you've got. Helmet and PFD. that's all you need. I'm pretty much the only other open boater besides Kru. Hope to see you out next time.-M-
