Well, if everyone is going to show up, I may as well show up too!
I'll see if I can drag along a few Ozark Society folks with me.
See you at the ramp!

Anyone want to hike/jog base trail, quickly climb east summit and descend west summit before paddle trip? Planning to depart at 9:00 AM. Would love some company.

Wonderful day! Many thanks to Debbie for organizing and hosting, now on our 5th or so year. Sunshine and warm temps brought out a big group today!

This link should take you to some photos from the day...

Thanks to everyone for coming along. This was a great trip. 37 boats in all. Thanks Heather for the photo journal of the trip. It pretty much tells the whole story.

Well, maybe not quite the WHOLE story, Debo...

Apparently Gordon decided to engage in some foolish shenanigans which others captured on film and video. :wht:

Also, perhaps others did some end of the trip documentation which I failed to do, but I believe by the looks of it the group may have collected at least half a dozen or more bags of trash along the way as well!

All around, a most excellent start to the new year.

I have a bold prediction; I believe if the weather is favorable, in 2015 we'll surpass 50 participants!

My thanks too Debbie! Today was such a fun outing, I was so glad to visit with so many old friends, and not run over a cypress knee in mid story, while waxing nostalgic  I was so pleased to see as many folks with whom I don't often get to paddle with very often, and still others I hadn't met until today. Thanks Mr. Moore (sp.) for coming along with us . I hope you will consider joining us again later this Spring as it gets warmer .
What a fun day!

Best Regards
Jim

Thank you Debbie for such a wonderfully put together trip! Mike and I enjoyed being with everyone. Thanks for the hot cider (and thanks to whoever contributed the moonshine). Also enjoyed the homemade cupcakes and cookies and other treats. Great way to start the New Year.

Super outing, thanks so much to Debbie for getting us together. Hanging out (and paddling!) with paddlers is such a privilege. Good to see paddle friends plus meet new ones. The day definitely lived up to its expectations. An added personal treat is that this is the 60th stream I've paddled. I like to hit 4 - 5 new ones a year and starting out Jan 1 is awesome, never done that. And it's just cool as heck to be paddling in a cypress swamp and look up to see Pinnacle Mtn. through the cypress!!
