If in a week my bravery follows through on a bayou run, I'll post a video!
Thanks everyone for the info.
I hope you know something!
Yeah my bad. I looked at that website wrong. I saw that its classified as Level II but didnt realize the color coding tells you what it is currently. shucks

Why dose'nt the Frog flow like it used to?
People at Old Town used to ask me "Is the water over the rock at Rudy?","Is there still debris coming down the creek?"
I lived in Hobbtown on East Cedar Creek at the time and went through there everyday so I would try to report the river levels the best I could.Often my reports would result in a chorus of"yeah it should be there tomorrow".
I suspect the new dam at Lake Fort Smith to be the cause.

At least twice earlier this year Frog has run for a whole week at a time because the lake was full and they were releasing enough water to keep it going.
It fell very slowly and it usually drops pretty fast.
A lot depends on how much rain the upstream tributaries like Clear Creek get too.

I assumed most of the time the lake is lower than the spillway and has to fill before running over, therefore about half the flow is missing over the old days when there wasn't as much storage capacity. I have no idea if that's right

They now have gates where they can meter the amount of water they keep in the lake without the utilization of the emergency overflow spillway.
