Louis and I are planning on paddling from Lower Pyatt to Snow Acess Saturday morning, if anybody wants to join us. Here is a link to the AGF map. http://www.agfc.com/resources/wildlifev ... ailmap.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Right now it's looking like I'll be Caddo bound. I want to paddle and fish Crooked Creek some kinda bad, but five and a half hours' driving plus the paddling makes for a long expensive day. What time do y'all expect to launch in case the Caddo expedition falls through and I fail to resist the lure of north Arkansas?
You come too.

Probably 7:00 or 8:00, this way we get off around noon and then jump back on with the group.

Aiight. If I end up heading that way I'll call you. Still at the 609 number?

The cleanup was very well organized for check-in, shuttles, help loading boats, pre-event communication; and a quality group of conservation-minded paddlers participating. Although I knew no one except for Debo a number of organizers and participants introduced themselves, talked about their interest in stream preservation, paddling and fishing. It just like you'd known them forever, but paddlers seem to be that way!!!
About 1/3 of the way down one of the leaders stopped us at a gravel bar and gave a superb summary of Crooked Creek ecology and the status and effects of gravel mining. Really added a lot to the event. Sure hope to do more of these. Be sure to check out the Friends of the Rivers website:
