The place at the top of the Kyles road used to be called Buffalo Adventures and was owned by Ron and Deb Gregory. They sold the business a number of years ago. My wife and I got to know them fairly well about 20 some odd years ago and they were magnificent.

when we used to pay for vehicle shuttle we always used Ron and Deb or Lost Valley.

I have been treated very well at the other place in that area when I was renting one of their cabins for the weekend and treated like dirt at other times when I just stopped in to ask about vehicle shuttle. I've been told by numerous private boaters that they were treated in a somewhat arrogant condescending manner also. But I also know other private boaters who always use "that other place" and seem satisfied.

For my money, I agree with what someone else said " *.*.*. is for tourists, people in the know use Lost Valley".....I would also add the place at the top of Kyles if that's where Painter Bob is these days.

Have always shuttled with friends, but have hung out at Lost Valley after using the showers across the road in the past. Nice, down to earth folks and I always pick up a couple jars of the "Local" honey they have for the wife.

Lost Valley has the coolest campground across the road from their store. The creek that runs behind the campground is great for kids to explore. They have a "hut" for those not wanting to tent camp. And the shower facility that MO mentioned is real convenient. Have to confess in the old days swinging by and using it and running on. It's coin operated now, I believe. Last year a semi lost his brakes and came flying down from Compton way and took out their well house. Really nice folks.
