I've felt the touch of healing hands, neath the willow trees and birch, cause the water's my religion, and the river is my church. Kenny

I wish this had a place to "like" comments.
We are all afflicted with Cognitive Dissonance. The greater our religious, social, financial or political affiliation, the greater the affliction. We hear what we want to hear. We believe what we want to believe. Truth becomes irrelevant.

Thought I would jump on this thread before it fades away. We're planning a multi day Buffalo trip in April, and being a hammock camper, whenever possible, I was wondering how suitable the gravel bars are for hammocks? Also thinking about bringing my touring kayak instead of the canoe for this one. Good idea? Bad idea? BTW About 20+ years ago I was a member of the old "Dust Bowl" chapter in Tulsa.

And still is a member, his job took him away to South Carolina, we still tell stories about him at meetings and around campfires.
Jon got me out of my upside down kayak on that January day in 1991 with temps down around 18 degrees when we put in. I was totally dead but not warm and dead.
Then remembering his Marine Corps Training as a Sgt, got my jaws pried open, got the gunk out and did CPR.
Without Jon Harrison, my Brother for sure, I would not be typing this.
Salute!

Plenty of them will have hanging spots.. or maybe a bank this time of year. Might have to look a little bit. Lower ones are more prone to have trees... so remember to leave yourself a good route to higher ground!!
and thanks for keeping Okie-wan.. aka Dave, around. Glad I got to know him a bit
