Ok, I'm stoked. The Goodwins will be present in record numbers this year (more than 2).

In place of the beer garden, there is an informal "best canned beer" taste-off brewing (pun intended). Likely to gather somewhere near the DO cook off where last year's beer garden was. Bring a 6 pack of your favorite brew. I've got a bunch of cups that we can use.

Re: The Non-sticky Rendezvous Thread
Instead of making a new thread I'm sure someone here can answer this question but I was wondering about campfires at Rendezvous? I saw on the dutch oven contest thread there were none allowed but didn't know if that had anything to do with burn bans or not. Will be the first time to Rendezvous. Weather looks perfect for a campfire but I'm thinking maybe its a Camp Couchdale rule. Please advise. Thanks and see you Friday!

I'm not sure if an outright ban is in force or even enforceable, but they are definitely discouraged. I think if you really feel compelled to have one just keep it contained in a fire pan and be sure you leave no trace of it. I personally saw two last year. How's that for a noncommital answer? I should be a politician. Then again, I do have a bit of a past...........

No worries. So no blow logs? Just kidding. I had the pleasure (used sarcastically) of camping next to the one at WW school. Was hoping to get to camp next to another. Thanks Deuce!Deuce wrote:I'm not sure if an outright ban is in force or even enforceable, but they are definitely discouraged. YEAH! If we all do this, we should be able to feed everybody who participates, plus about 200 homeless people! Or are you just figuring on feeding about 100 deadbeat kayakers? Maybe your plan is good after all...Jeremy M wrote:

P.S.- YEAH, WE'RE STOKED! (You mean this is tomorrow? What's that, later TODAY? Oh crap, I'd better go get ready!)

Re: The Non-sticky Rendezvous Thread
Sheesh, it's a good thing I took the day off. Otherwise based on how the day's been I'd hit Couchdale around 3 a.m. tomorrow.
Be there in time for the Bayou Boys' spread though, and Cowper, I'm making some guac for you.
