Zach - YES! I totally would like help learning to roll my canoe! Rolling a yak is so easy for me, but I'm very very confused about rolling the canoe!

Thanks, Chester! Right now I have everything connected but probably not the best for long term, so I definitely am going to find some time to get with you or the Sig family for my soldering lesson!

I just picked up my thru hull ports last night, so as soon as I work up the nerve to drill giant holes in the side of my canoe, I'll finish the installation.

As a final boat improvement project, I've also been carving out new deck plates for the ends of the canoe: one was missing and the other one was cracked. I'm cutting new plates out of the lid from a heavy black Sterlite storage bin...the material seems nice and durable and will give the boat a more finished look as well as protecting those ends.

And now that it's raining, maybe I'll actually get to paddle the thing instead of just working on it! :grin:
