Your right! My mistake! My son and I plan to catch the release next Thursday and take out at the Hwy 27 access. Only part of the Little Mo I haven't run from the Dam to the Ouachita.

Be sure to bring flashlights if you are going to Hwy. 27, just in case. If you stay in the generation flow (don't paddle ahead of the running water) and start about 2:00 p.m. you should reach Hwy. 27 just before dark, if all goes according to plan and it is not cloudy. Ask Chicago Bob about his trip to Hwy. 27 that ended in the dark due to unexpected delays (swims).

In past years, the flow releases began at noon at some point during the summer. Maybe waiting for such an earlier release start time might make for a more fun trip.

Victor, Julie and I are off on Monday Sept 3rd and are planning to be there. Victor and I may also be there on Friday August 31st.

I have only a slim chance of getting off work in time to get to Iil Mo by 2:oo and would prob just go to the put in if I can go. I can get to Murfreesboro but need directions to put in. My boat an gear is in my car just in case I can go tomorro,Fri! I cant make it to the Labor Day pre an post trips . Minna

Minna, i am not sure which way you will come into murfreesboro but all roads lead to a 4 way crossing of 27 and 19. take 19 north to the narrows dam park which is the put in. this is about 5 miles from the intersection of 27 and 19. hope to see you there.

Glad to see so many people can make some of the upcoming trips! It'll be great to paddle with you again, Debbie!

The Friday 8/31 trip is a go; still waiting for confirmation for Monday Labor Day's release.

For tomorrow 8/24, we'll see anyone who wants to shuttle up to the put in at the take out at 1:30. We need to work in the morning and so don't plan to get there early - we'll be there for the actual release!

UPDATE Friday 8/24 - unfortunately all three of us who were planning to go today are going to need to stay at work. Bummer. We're going to head to Rockport after work today instead.

Next Friday though will be a definite go. I hope those of you who were able to get out of work today enjoy your time on the water!

Just to clarify - that was me, Liz and Mitch who are staying chained to our desks this afternoon. Wally and Mike Coogan are still planning to be there early at the take out at 1pm, so there's enough for a shuttle. I hope others can still make it!

Put me in for Labor Day! I try not to miss it when I'm healthy, and I'm in tip top shape this year!
