ACC Msg Board newby Foreverphishing

It is common for some one to use a message board to get their advertising out by logging on and immediately posting a link to a commercial site as a regular member of that message board. IE they pose as a boater getting the word out to the message board readers. A fairly common computer name for this activity is "phishing". Normally message board administrators will quickly delete this type of message.

While not required, most of the ACC Message board regular posters will add some information to their signature like their home town or real name. This lets the message board know the poster is probably for real (even tho this can be misleading for the pro phishers).

It is also pretty common for a hacker type to immediately respond back to a post and start a give and take posting going as that tells the hacker type they have a "live" connection to the message board.

I am a retired computer operator, programmer and manager. Based on my experiences, your posts met most if not all the indications for a hacker. So I played the game and the more I played, the more indications I got you are a hacker. So after a few posts, I signed off the game.

I am a Blues, Country Rock, Zydeco, Blue Grass type music fan and did not know there was a band called Phish. Thanks to our LA boating bud Roman, now I do.

So, welcome to the ACC board Foreverphishing as I am gonna take your word for it that you are indeed a boating newby. No more posts from me on this topic till I see if Foreverphishing is for real or a expert hacker.

Right on BHK Okie!

Hope you are staying after the kayaking after canoe school. Stay in touch. It has to rain big time for Arkansas floating sooner or later.
