Clearly this is a stout that I (and apparently the rest of us) thought only existed in folklore. Until recently I've only heard rumors, and personally didn't think it existed. Until, I saw this video

48 laps down Big Timber is quite the feat! I don't think any of us mere mortals could do it, and definitely not in one summer!

Seriously though, Jesus himself would have a hard time doing 48 laps down Big Timber, and he runs the s**t!

(and by Jesus I mean Evan Garcia)

Of course this is all speculation at this point but the oppurtunity is there. We have time to gather our resources and form a collaboration with TU in creating this dual purpose recreation area on the white river (Their next meeting is Nov. 1st at Whole Hog in Fayetteville) Obviously there are smaller goals to set and achieve before it becomes a reality but a dependendable river flow with a playspot in this area sounds worth the effort. I'd rather pray to have time to go boating than pray for rain.

Scott Branyan, owner Ozark Fly Flingers guide service has been fishing and drift boat floating below Beaver Dam for many years. His personal experience of the river and TU affiliations would make him a good person to involve in these discussions.

meeting was good! ...... yes,
fishing people had that funny look on there faces
about making a play wave? but Game and Fish seem to be the people that can make this happen... so we need to make a formal plan to sumit . ??? .... ( anyone want to help us).. Ben was a double agent tonight he made the Eureka Springs park and rec. meeting to see if we could get a city to help support our ideas.. looking forward to what is next.

The meeting went okay. Some of the members were receptive to the idea but I agree with Bob that the game and fish commission are who we need to go to next. Also figuring out what resources we can offer. As long as the wave is conservation minded we have a chance. Its time to get fired up about this. Bob, Ben and I won't be able to do this on our own!
