It says the fee on the box, which I believe is $5. Just park out of the way of the ramp so others can use it. There's plenty of space in the yard/under the trees there. If you have 2 vehicles it's nice to put in at Pinnacle Mt. and then paddle down to this ramp.

Note: although we still all call it the Burnett Rd ramp, they actually changed the name of the road! I don't remember the new name, but it's the road IMMEDIATELY after you cross the railroad tracks coming from Hwy 10. I just didn't want anyone to get confused since the street sign no longer says Burnett!

edited to add: googled it - Sweetwater Cove is the new name. Some maps will probably still show it as Burnett, but the actual street sign now says Sweetwater Cove. http://www.littlerock.org/BoardOfDirect ... 25-203.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks for the update Heather! I'm not sure why the two parties desired a street name change but I have a sneaking suspicion the 12+ acres of undeveloped property may one day soon be developed. From my little bit of paddling from Pinnacle S.P. Down to Burnetts place, I've noticed several other locations as well that would make very nice homesteads, rightfully so. I just hope all parties fair well, and that places like the Burnett Rd. folks put- in don't loose that 'Mom&Pop' charm.

Another access recently became available. A sewer pipe was recently added to the Pinnacle Valley Road bridge as it crosses the Little Maumelle River. An area on river left and just downstream of the bridge has been cleared for the pipe and for a future bike trail. On top of the sewer pipe is a trail platform & guard rails.

The bank slopes gradually to the river and is a good (but unofficial) canoe/kayak access. Discussions are underway to improve the site and make it an offical access. Parking is limited but there is enough room for several vehicles.

There is also an official canoe/kayak access at Two Rivers Park. It is not too far from the Restroom Building. A long "sidewalk-like" ramp off of a small parking lot leads to the access. When I looked at it last summer, lots of aquatic vegetation was growing at the access.

CORRECTION/UPDATE: I took a bike ride in Two Rivers Park this AM. The restroom and canoe/kayak ramp are not nearly as close together as I remembered. A better way to find the ramp is to take the park road to where it ends in a big loop. Stay left on the loop. The ramp is off of a small parking lot. The "sidewalk-like" section is lined with concrete blocks on both sides.

Thanks for the information Margaret! Marlo and I ride our bikes around Two-Rivers quite a bit during the Winter months to excersise and to bird-watch. I'll sure take note of how the area develops you mentioned by the bridge.
Early on, I noticed the put-in at the lower end of the Two Rivers park where we usually park but haven't ever used it. I did put in at the I-430 bridge one Winter day with a couple of friends to paddle upstream, it seems like about four miles from there, or the Two Rivers put-in either, to the river above Burnetts, where the river finally gets above the water level fluxiuations of the Arkansas River, and has the more naturalistic look of the former Maumellle R. on it's way down from the State Park and areas above.
Thanks again for the bridge put-in info. :D I hope we can all make another nice New Year's Day trip there next year.
