I had a great time too, but what really counts is the kids had a great time and can't wait for next year too. We'll see if we can get Thomas to practice up for a phonix monkey or a lunar orbit on Adam's boogie board next year! So far I haven't seen anyone complain about the rain-that's how you know we had some real paddlers! I met some more great folks and put alot of faces with names.

Excellent Rendezvous to Jeremy and Marcel!

p.s. Did anyone see that awesome 2 man rescue squad from the greater northwest arkansas safety contingent? Man, those guys were makin the 4 man teams sweat!

Really nice photos, Edgar. I have a question, though. Are you shooting those in a smaller filesize or is Picasa just resizing them as you upload them? It showed most of the shots to be about 300~400 kilobytes, which is about a tenth of what my camera shoots in .jpeg mode.

Thanks to Jeremy and Marcell for their hard work putting together another good Vous!

Jim and I sure enjoyed meeting Curtis and Jonelle who joined us for a float Saturday as well as Connie and Dan, and Janet and Dan's brother (sorry, I'm bad with names, and I thought I was doing so well) who we met on the river. Hope most of you will make it to Rec School next June. Aside: Gee, Liz, I think our class is full. :D

As always it is great to visit with old friends and to make new ones. We won out on both counts!

Hey John, I shoot in "raw" a much larger format and Picasa resized them to save space. If anybody wants a copy I send them a large JPEG file for good quality.
Thanks :D

Hey, you got three out of four. That's really good, especially considering everything that was going on. Dan's brother's name is Marty. The Baws are longtime friends of ours and have a house on Catherine where we often decamp. Mrs. Deuce was there all weekend while Little Deuce and I camped at Rendezvous. Dan Connie and Marty came to Couchdale for a brief visit Saturday evening and were very complimentary of the folks they encountered on the river. I've been trying to get them to do that little float all summer and they were so glad they finally did, but I got tickled when Dan called me before they launched to ask what Jeremy's throwdown was. Connie was afraid to go through a rapid with a name like that.

Thanks for the kind words, Renee and Marlo. I feel like I just scratched the surface on meeting life long friends. Jonelle and I were so pleased to fall into the Saturday float. I'm definitely coming back next year and will be bringing a bunch of paddlers from my hiking club. And if any of you are ever up in NWArkansas, I'd sure like to be there with you on a float.

Marty--of course! Thanks Luke, I could see his face, but just couldn't come up with his name. They all seemed to have a good time and I hope to see them at Rec School next June. They all did great at the ledge! We had no swimmers! Hope they join us for more floats before winter; if we can just get some rain. I know they will enjoy it. We really enjoyed meeting them. :kayak: :kayak: :kayak:

Curtis, We will look forward to seeing you next year and your entire hiking club...well maybe not all of them, but as many as you can talk into coming. See if you can't get Pat and Rich to come too. :poke2: We had such a good time at Rec School! :yahoo: Beware of too many matching outfits!

Sometimes I just get smilie crazy!...like now.... 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) :kayak: :kayak: :kayak: :kayak:
