Sandy,
this time of year your best bet is a Remmel to Rockport run. If flow is right, someone form the club will be there almost every Sat. that they are releasing. We've run this many times with Jim and Marlo the past few summers. Since I can't go to the Little Mo. this Fri.; I am hoping that the flow will be right Sat. for a R2R run.

Chris,
Thanks for the input. I'll keep an eye on the message board for posts. Saturdays are not always easy for me because both kids play soccer competitively. Even though the season is over, they are both in soccer camp now. I appreciate the info. though. As a newbie, it's that delicate balance between wanting to take on greater challenges yet keeping my kiddos safe. I always check the Class Level when I see a float coming up, but I also know that there are a lot of factors that contribute to a river's difficulty (and they are changing constantly).
Thanks again,
Sandy

Bump...
It should be just the best day weather-wise to enjoy the cold water, however we could certainly enjoy any other interested parties to float with, visit with, and for safety, Anyone?
Best Regards
Jim

Jim, should we be in Murfreesboro by 10:30? Be ready to shuttle and be unloaded before noon at the put in and ready for the whistle?

Wayne,
This is just the best! We'll look forward to the float, to seeing you along, and to meet EMT. We'll see you all tomorrow.

I know I'm late on this thread but I was looking at the dam generation for next week. Can anyone explain how to correlate the data on the spreadsheet into water level and what time I need to be there to kayak it? Thanks.

They blow the horn and start releasing water one hour prior to the time on the generation schedule. If the schedule says they are generating 8mw (megawatts) of electricity it means they are running 1 generator, 16 means 2, and 24 means 3.
I have known them to blow the whistle early and late. They also reserve the right to change the schedule without notice.
