Help a Scout with some canoe repairs!

Ok Guys, I went to look at these canoes and they are worse than I was lead to believe. I want to know if they can still be reapired.

I didn't know that they were in this condition. I was thinking in better condition. Do we go ahead and get these or keep looking? We only have limitied funds and want the most for our money. Does anyone have any other ideas.

Guys just email me any figures, I don't want to upset anyone. I am just needing good canoes for our troop and only have a few thousand to spend.

Keep looking. Old Town Disco's are polyethelene and very difficult to repair without heat treating. I'd suggest buying ABS "Royalex" canoes. Used Buffalo's from a canoe livery would be a good place to look. Royalex is much easier to repair also should you need to. the boats in your pic are delaminating and there's no telling how far back you'd have to cut to find good lamination.

I was on the South Fork Resort website last nite, and they have used canoes kayaks for sale. I don't know the models or condition but you might give them a call.
