Today's highlights...
1. John's first time on Richland..
Swam multiple times including one scary event at Roadblock, but
showed nerves of steel and didn't give up(I would have)
2. Anthony busting hand at knuckle buster and rolled out of Crack in Rock
3. Jed running Lower Screw Up backwards(I thought looked pretty cool)
4. Jeff stylin' it the whole way(can't tell me playboating has no benefits)
5. Me missing the boof at Maytag and rolled at the bottom(again)
6. Joe Branch doing 45 degree boof at Upper Screw Up.. awesome
7. MREs, bandages and cracked helmet :)

An awesome day with friends

John flipped at the bottom of the rapid approaching Roadblock, he attempted to roll a couple of times and started to swim. Boat luckily flushed through. He quickly swam to eddy on river right. We maneuvered his boat to him while he gathered his paddle. Wasn't ever in the slot, but had to do some fast swimming.
No injuries but was dramatic. Cracked helmet in the process I believe when flipping on the approach.

Hey Anthony, you forgot (but Gannon mentioned)

"in"gesting a Budweiser (along w/ a generous portion of creek-grit) out of Jed's booty!

Roadblock from my point of view.

John knew that roadblock was coming because we all told him to make sure and eddy out after running the rapid above it. John got flipped in that upper rapid and hit his head on a rock hard enough to chip a tooth and crack his helmet. He tried rolling twice but I could tell he was loopy. He then swam about twenty meters directly above roadblock. He came to the surface and was somewhat disoriented. He all started screaming swim because he was headed straight into the right side of roadblock. His boat caught the right eddy and then jed tried to get John to grab the bow of his boat. Jed then got John to the river right eddy but then jed rolled and then almost went into roadblock himself. John was fine and in the eddy and his boat caught the current out of the eddy and went thru roadblock. That's what I saw.

Gannon can tell the sieve story.

Canoe, Think that one is called green rock. The sieve is right in the water flow in the green room. I'm sure u know witch one were are talking about. After three or four roll attempts the boat and paddler were up side down and hung between the rocks. Paddler came out of the boat and some how wiggled the boat though and went right behind it, piping out at the bottom.

If today's run is what I would have to replicate to audition for "Team Stupid," count me out... I'm still realin' a bit from the knock to the noggin

Huge props to the crew today though guys! I really appreciate all the positive support, and I know I put you through some "tough moments" to say the least...

Lady Richland and I will meet again, and when we do, it will be under different circumstances

Glad everyone came out ok, sounds like I'm glad i wasn't there. I can see how a swimmer could get thru that seive at Green Rock, but surprised you could get a boat thru. dale

Boat didn't go through. Just the swimmer. We had the boat and he had to come around the boulder to us to get it

Moatsie, if that's a public proposition, the answer's still "No."
