Here is a link about Jackson boats and the types of plastics. As I ststaed above if the boat is Thermoplastic it can be welded. Crosslink is a Thermoset and can not be welded.

WOW thanks for all the replies and help. this is an demo I bought at NOC at GAF in 2009, and yes it is the elite which is crosslinked. Someone mentioned that Jackson is the only crosslinked boats being made but arent the Riots still crosslinked? I know my old riot was. like the glide, slice, etc etc. and I too bought a plastic welder from harbor freight and turned a small hole in the cockpit rim of my Riot Techno into a big hole! now Im afraid to try it again. I will contack JK and see what they say.
Thanks everyone I was just looking for a name or number but I have learned quite a bit about this now, good to know

Got email back from JK and was told to get Hippo Patch, and If Plaidpants can weld it, I dont care what color it is or if it matches, just want it not to leak.

Here is a link to get a Hippo Patch.

I would say it is similar to duct tape and is not welding materials.

I think Willy Billiams still has my welder, And he knows about a new glue material that will patch the crosslink. I tried to weld my fun and it just gets so hot, then starts sagging before it melts. I tried several cheat techniques(I actually processed plastics in a molding shop years ago, so I have a good understanding). It's a lot like Brazing or soldering , if you've ever done that. You can trip a little off of your boat to have the right color and material. Usually I can find somewhere on the boat to shave a little without harm.
