All the pictures are great. I especially like the closeup of the immature Red Headed Woodpecker. He seems very proud of himself with that fly in his bill. :D

In all the years we've been watching our backyard birds I have only seen one Red Headed woodpecker cruise through. We usually have quite a few of other varieties of woodpeckers at the suet feeders all Winter, but no Red Headed. However when we paddled Saturday, I'll bet I saw or heard 50 or more of them on the L. Maumelle! They seem to really be attracted to all the dead Cypress trees lining the river. It was really enjoyable to see so many!
