I was witness to Stewart and Davidbob sweeping the DIB down the Piney at bout 4'. Also to Marcel rowing the Dib at similar level with a small town on board.

Hmmmm...I wonder if the day will come when BOC sees the economic opportunity in rafting Hailstone? Could Dixon Ford look like Ponca did this weekend? Food for thought.

ARG has put rafts on the Hailstone. Trip report here.

At 6' the Super Pumas were fine - at 8' it felt like you could make it down in a small aircraft carrier.

P.S. I have seen a BOC raft on the Hailstone before.

P.P.S. Tim Man was kind not to mention that he also witnessed me pinning the DIB on the 3 Sisters that day (note to all sweep boaters - if there's enough water to run a sweep on the Piney, the Sisters come at you real fast).
