Grant,

In an exhibition of pure sportsmanship, the 2010 Jungle Boater race was postponed since you couldn't be there. Everyone was so bummed out that we just left our boats on the trucks and drained the keg(s).

Hate that you missed out on the "...to the keg" and that the race will just have to be held again on another date when you can be there......

Congrats to Leah on paddling on winning the race! I think her dad helped some too.

Does anyone have a photo of Leah and I at the start line while taking off? I was right beside Brian Hubble and his son. The guy that "claims" he beat me said he said he started in the same group as we did, but the time sheet says he started one minute before we did and finished only seconds before we did. I'm ticked I gave him my trophy if he didn't deserve it.

It wasn't Brian who I was talking about. I was just saying that we started side by side.

Ryan, you are a big guy and you did the big thing. Both girls got a trophy in a unique situation! You got my props and respect.

ok, i'm with ya now. Yeah, that other dude and his daughter are some tough competition regardless.....you deserve props for having class, no doubt.

O how I remember the time that the two ladies who took the longest actually won the ladies division. I think someone busts into the keg early or something on the time keeping in.

I swear I have beat mr burris 5 times in a row, but someone just keeps messing up my time. geez.

Well, i just got some pics sent to me from a friend and they were in our group it looks like. They was suppose to start in front of us but it looks like they went when we did. So i guess we come up second, I'm still proud of my 9 year old.

Since I learned to use Photoshop I've never trusted photos. :) Leah did super, and Ryan's a hero not for winning a race, but for being a good guy and setting a good example.

Next year, with Leah a year older (and if Ryan can cut back and average less than 2.5 cheeseburgers per day) watch out, cause they're gonna win by a mile!
