I probably will not do much walking. However, we will stop there so that anyone that wants to can. The same goes for the Goat Trail and Granny Henderson's cabin. Rodger will lead the hikes.

I'll be there, that's for sure. Got a borrowed Mad River Courier 14 sittin' on top of my truck, and camping gear in the bed.
I gots me some itchy feet to go a-paddlin'!
I'll be at Steel Creek tomorrow afternoon, with a mom and her boat in tow. Also, she will have a vacant seat in the bow of her barge, for those who need a ride down the river. Call me to make arrangements tomorrow at 479-544-6263 or her at 501-249-7063. If not able to contact either of us, show up with a stick and PFD and hope the seat is open. :poke:
That about covers it.

I'll be out here delivering goods and services to a deserving public... or whatever the heck it is I do for a living!

But I'm there in Spirit!

You guys have fun and be safe!

I think we are going to have ideal water and weather for a family friendly float. This makes for both an ideal day float or multiday base camp at Steel Creek. Be forewarned that with all that is happening this weekend, Steel Creek Campground may be a bit crowded. For those camping, I would encourage sharing campsites.

I wish I were going to be there, too, Steph! You know I'd be in for Sunday!

I guess in my absence, you are going to have to provide everyone with comic relief! You know, do the things I would normally do: fall out of your boat a couple of times, hit every tree in the creek, get tangled up in your throw rope, the usual!

I don't know about Eric but all I know for sure is that you ain't been floatin' until you've been floatin' with Eric's cookies!

Gettin' ready to leave out in about 30 mins. I'll look for a nice camping spot at steel creek o share with whoever else can fit. I'll be in a red ford ranger with a green mohawk intrepid 17 and a burgundy mad river courier 14 on top of a black steel cargo rack.
See you all on the river.

Don't forget your cameras. The Big Elk Bulls are out and the biggest one was laying in the field last weekend, down at Ponca. It's worth the 5 minute drive to go into Boxley! Anyone staying over Saturday night should bring some jeans and attend church at Boxley Baptist .... and don't forget the Bluegrass Festival!
Bring your cameras. Also, the tips of the trees were already starting to change last weekend!
See you all Saturday ..maybe dinner at Ozark Cafe in Jasper if we can get in!
