Just throwing this out there: I could maybe tag along to assist where possible or shoot pictures or vids. I've never run (or even seen in person) the lee creek, and I doubt I'm experienced enough to float it, but I'd love to go see what all the fuss is about.
If anyone has room to spare going down there, please call me at 479-544-6263 or email at fryingsquirrel "at" gmail.com

Gauge updated on Lee Creek - it's 7.62 and rising as of 11:15 a.m.
We're planning on going after work. Should get there around 5:00.

iYak, Can you or someone carry an extra guy (Me, no boat) from springdale or fayetteville? I'd drive myself but the tank on my Honda is leaking something gnarly, so I won't be driving it till I fix it.

Wish I could go. Ya'll have fun.
I think you got something mixed up The Little MO did not get anywhere near that and I don't see it showing that. Thinking you meant Little Mill creek.
For those wondering how stuff updates from my experience
1. the USGS does take readings every 15 minutes
2. these updates are only uploaded at certain time intervals most gauges are 1 or 2 hours "the Little MO gauge" is every four hours updates @ 4:45, 8:45, 12:45 AM and PM
3. you can normally view it online 5 minutes after the standard posting time, so 4:50, 8:50, and 12:50 for the Little MO
4. the ozark pages will not catch an update for the little MO until 5:00, 9:00, and 1:00
So my advice watch most of your favorites on a normal basis even when not running to figure them out.

Thanks for pointing that out Lifejacket. I had the radar images from back when the Little Mo. was up in August still in my Temporary Places in Google Earth so that is why it showed all the rain. Sorry for the mix up.

You boys have fun on Lee Creek this afternoon. I'll be in class.
Make sure you take out at Cove Creek so you can see how "angry" the landowner is that people are paddling "his" river!

Cole and I just got back. It was def bare bones minimum, the gauge is not right. There may be 7.6ft down at the gauge but Cole thought it was more like 5ft range at the bridge.
It is not coming up either.

the guage is probably correct. The problem is that the guage is all the way over in oklahoma so it is picking up water from tributary's down stream.
Thanks for giving us a visual though.

I meant the gauge is not right for the play section of Lee Creek. It is probably accurate downstream, that is why I said there may be 7.6ft down at the gauge, but it is not accurate for the play section. Thinking they probably got more rain between take-out and gauge.
