Great! Look forward to seeing you, Pat!
I've heard through the grapevine that a few others might be joining us as well...should be a nice, fun group, and a great way to end our long weekend.
See some of you at the K-Mart Monday morning, and the rest of you at the take out bridge in Murfreesboro. If anyone needs more specific directions or anything, shoot me a PM or email.
Looking forward to a fun paddle tomorrow!
Cheers,
H

Heather,
Please also count us in. Marlo and I are currently pleased to have the 22 y.o. son of her cousin in Germany staying with us for the last week ,and one more. He is looking forward to the trip tomorrow. Andreas has had one kayaking class in Heidelberg Gr. where he attends University. Today he did very good on the Remmel Float! But I am wanting You to explaine "rolling" concept better to him than I could ever do, and Mike Coogan to also show him surfing. We'll look forward to the day, and I'll do what I can for the shuttling See you tomorrow.
Best Regards
Jim

I'll see y'all in Murfreesboro. I've never been there but I think I can find the take out.
I assume the meeting time is still 1PM?

Great! Glad to see even more folks can come out!
Yes, meeting time is still 1pm at take out bridge, with the plan to make it to the dam by 2pm to be geared up and ready to start as they open the gates.
Note that since it sounds like we'll have quite a group, and the take out area is not huge or super parking-friendly...be sure to park as efficiently as possible at the bridge to leave room for others coming and going. If you get there before us, go ahead and start consolidating boats onto cars so we'll be ready to run the shuttle!
I'm looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting some new ones!
Cheers,
Heather (aka Lupe)

I had a great time on the river today. The weather, water, and company made for an excellent Labor Day celebration.
I'd especailly like to thank Lupe and Captain Aleve for organizing the trip.

Yes! My thanks to Heather and Mike also. Marlo, Andreas and I had just a wonderful time! Andreas really thought it was a blast! We really appreciate how everyone Andreas met took the time to visit with him, not to mention coming to his assistance when he swam a couple of times. A special thanks to Josh for your friendship. While Marlo's German cousin is visiting us, we could only wish to fill his time every day with such 'high octane' fun as yesterday, I'm just not sure I could stand it  Thanks again to you all!
Best Regards

Re: Lil Mo Narrows Dam - MONDAY 9/7
Thanks everyone for making it such a great day! There were well over 30 boats out there...quite a flotilla we had!
One important thing I want to pass along: we had mistakenly thought that it was okay to park on the grass, but actually the ACOE ranger stopped by and asked that in the future we use any available parking spaces and if we need "overflow" parking, then to please park just off the road on the grass, parallel to the road around the loop. Please keep this in mind for future trips! He was nice enough to realize it would have been difficult to round all our drivers back up to relocate cars since most were already in their boats waiting for the release...but I assured him we would spread the word for the future!
Thanks again, everyone. The only BAD thing about yesterday, was having to come back to work TODAY!
Until next time...
