how did this trip go i want to float it sometime this year maybe july august havent talked to anyone whos floated it is it a good float for yaks

it'd be good for touring or some of the faster rec kayaks. A few very easy shoals and a LOT of flatwater.
Mike, you can still paddle it when they're not generating cause there's always a minimum flow but min. flow is very slow. It's also hotter on the river during min flow cause there's not as much of that really cold lake bottom water coming thru the dam. They won't tell you what they're going to do but you can call and find out what they've been doing the last several days and then take your chances based on that. i.e. if they've been generating from 12 pm to 8 pm for the last 3 or 4 days, there's a good chance they'll be doing the same thing today.
