Water Works Lake (years ago it was the city's water source. a.k.a.-Bringle Lake, King Lake) can be reached by traveling Richmond Road North of the interstate towards the Pleasant Grove area. Go roughly 2+ miles and look for a stoplight with the Pleasant Grove Elementary School on the left and an EZ Mart on the right. Turn right at this light. This is the new road that they just built to reach the new A&M College campus. Also, the Texarkana Golf Ranch is on that same road. Continue past both of these fine institutions and the road will dead end into a boat ramp for the lake with the park on the right. The old boat ramp and North side of the lake is alot harder to find...although, everyone needs to visit Wamba at least once in their life. LOL

Thursday is great for me as well! I'm excited about this. The last thing I ever did in a boat out there was tubbing behind a flatbottom!

are we going to the old side or the new side?? last time I went to the new side they complained about us beeing there. never had any probs at the old side.

Heath, I say we go to the new side just because it is easier to find. we can meet and then decide if we want to go to the old side. I don't understand who could complain about us being there. Isn't it a public park? I think the new side would be easier. To get there you go North on Richmand, go all the way up Richmand and take a right on University. Pleasant Grove Elementary school will be on your left and EZ MART will be on your right. Follow University until it dead ends into the lake. Real easy to find!

I plan to be there but it will be a little after 6:P.M. and I vote for the South side (new area). At times, the North side dirt road could take a 4X4 to reach between visits of the county road maintenance crew.
