Yeah, it's you! I jumped when I heard Amos announce "David..." until I remembered that I wrote "Dave" on my ticket. Oh well, that hundredth of a second sure felt good!

Congrats! I'm glad the boat went to someone who really needed it.

Congrats David on the new boat. There were 2 David's in my class. Were you the guy with the Approach? I didn't know your last names, so I don't know which of you actually won. :)

Yeah, Rick, I'm the one with the Approach. I love that boat and will continue to use it, but I'm so thrilled to be able to take things to the next level with a real WW boat.

Sounds like the boat found a really great home. Good deal!

And I am happy to report that I did not get fried in hot oil, contrary to what you might have heard.

David,

Congrats on winning the boat. It was great to see you this weekend, sorry we didn't get a chance to talk more. Hopefully we will see you on the river shortly in your new boat!

Ditto here. If you SMOTR real soon, I'll be the guy who's grinning and spinning. There's no skeg on a Super Hero, is there.

Congrats on Winning the WW Kayak! Thought I would say Hello so you can associate me with my screen name. We met at Flying J on your way to Canoe School ( I was in the Jeep Wrangler). Well hopefully no one made fun of you at Canoe School, and if they did it just increased your Karma.

Hope you have fun in your new boat!

Congrats, David! We'll have you surfin' like crazy now that you've got yourself a bona fide WW boat! You were already tearin' it up in that big ol' boat you had! LOL!

Also, thanks to you and also Tara (Liz's daughter) for providing lovely guitar and singing around the campsite Friday night! Huddled under the pavilion may not have quite the same ambiance as sitting around a campfire, but it was still mighty fine. :D

Hey, jclaudii. Good to hear from you. SYOTR somewhere soon, perhaps. I'll be the one not in the 10-foot blue boat.

Thanks, Heather. I'm hoping you'll be in the pool next time I get there because I've had time to forget much of what you taught me about rolling. I decided I wasn't going to pursue it further until I had a more rollable boat, so now no more excuses. I'm definitely ready for some surfin' action!!
