I'm getting a Fun shipped to me from St. Louis to NLR this week that I bought off the Missouri Whitewater board. I think it is around $70. The guy is using

Name: ARKANSAS FREIGHT SOLUTIONS LLC
Address: 1605 E. 5TH STREET
N LTL ROCK , AR 72114
Phone: 501-372-4543

I'll let you know what condition it arrives in.

I can second Roman's suggestion about Forward Air. Had a Whitesell Descender shipped to LR from Northern California a couple of years ago for $85 (and a Whitesell is a real boat, not a kayak). I don't know if it was packaged first or not. Cap'n Downstream picked it up for me at Forward Air's LR terminal and delivered it to Moore Bridge on Richland. (breaking in a boat on that run was an interesting experience)

That was a couple of years ago. Rates have sky rocketed since then.

Heck, one coulda cruised to StL and back for seventy bucks in fuel.

Six months ago, pricing was near a Hundred and a half for a seven foot kayak from Forward Airs southern Cali terminal to the L.R. Terminal.

I didn't buy the boat just couse shipping made a reasonable priced boat not so reasonable anymore.

See T.C's recent quote for shipping a ten footer from North Carolina. Two Hundred Bucks at today's rates. Length is the major key to shipping prices.
