Fish I'm tellin you man you are a perfect candidate for the salto evolution based off of what you like and what you say you want.It looks pretty sweet. They increased volume, length, and rocker just a tad from the 05 salto should be dead on for your needs. Also no worries about hull strength w/ a salto! :D Dont know where you could find one to check out around these parts though.

You know Fish, Boof4Food has a point, you could just start collecting Hucks and paddle-em till they break....

That's my second choice behind the Huck actually. It's like you're reading my mind, man. :) Paddled a Salto a bit and I rate it right up there with my Huck. I think the Salto Evo may be the boat for me indeed. Know where I can get a good deal on one? :)

Thanks Joe - appreciate the thoughts. To your points:
Boofaholic wrote:I just like to pick on JK boats b/c IMO their gimmicky kinda like the reebok pump of boats and the hero is based off of a play hull yet everyone under the sun is considering it for a creeker!
Yes! I used to think the same thing. But lighter weight, zero water in the boat - only what I "track" in, super-quick to adjust the outfitting on the fly, including for your buddies that want to take a test ride, and stout plastic are some of the things that swung me over. Also saw that McQuoid, Stookesberry, Coombs, & Crew were boating almost everything in Cali and abroad in Heroes/SuperHeroes. Based on that, figured that the boat wouldn't be the limiting factor for my comparatively weak skills. Maybe I'm looking at that wrong and need a more rounded creeker to take care of me? But hey, almost all of us are boat bigots one way or the other and we have our reasons for being that way.

I analyzed my run, reset safety w/ Ray and asked HIM if he was cool w/ me firin it up again since I was sooooo sure I was capable of stickin it.He said yes(probably b/c I wasnt bleedin yet), so i decided to give er again. 2nd time I stuck it!
Smart move! Sometimes the best thing to do is get right back in the boat and try again after getting spanked. Fear can be your servant or master.

Same back atcha', Joe!

Fish, how about firing up a new thread, "What I love/hate about my boat" or "If I weren't paddling my <current boat>, I think I'd like one of <these>"?
Let there be rain!
