I enjoyed Deep Survival very much. There's some stuff about a deadly run on an Oregon river in there- scary :shock:

Kim bought it for me. Just finished it. Very entertaining about a top-to-bottom run of the Grande. Beans, tortillas, fruit and Tecate!

Just finished Deep Survival. Very good. Thanks for the suggestion. "Thouching the Void" was heavily cited which is a very good read as well. That book along with Aaron Ralston's book are incedible survival stories.
For you Bryson fans, "A Short History of Nearly Everything" is outstanding.
