Well folks, it looks like we are on for Sunday morning at 10:00 am at the Knoppers Ford campground!

We do need as many folks as we can get that know the locations of some of the bad logs.

Thanks for the heads up Don. I am sorry to ask but I do have one more question. Should I come up with an off road vehicle or can I make it okay in my little gas sipper (I do not know the condition of the roads) Thank you.

The dirt roads are in decent condition so you shouldn't have any problems with a little car.

Rublelvr - Coming from the south, there is a shortcut off of hwy 71 that will get you to Sugar Creek. I think that it is about 8-10 miles of dirt road. On hwy 71, 3 or 4 miles past Waldron, it will bend towards the east and you will pass Lake Waldron on your right. Just past that look for a dirt road on your right and turn there.

There should be signs pointing you to the Jack Creek Recreation Area and Knoppers Ford.

It's been a long time since I've been that way, so maybe someone could chime in on road conditions or a better route.

Or you may just want to take the longer route but less dirt roads by taking hwy 23 off of hwy 71 just past Elm Park.

We sent some of our friends that way one time and they said it was NO shortcut (took much longer than sticking to the pavement). If you are running way early and feeling adventurous, give it a try. There are brown forest service signs directing to Jack Creek and Knoppers Ford there.

Thanks for the travel update info guys. If I decide pebble hopper will work I will probably stick to payment as long as possible. I have not mapquested a route yet so I appreciate directions. I could not find any BioPlus in T-town so if this is a problem let me know.

I have to work some today, and have an alternate mission on Sunday (no pun intended), but if anyone is coming through Conway I could fix you up with enough BioPlus for the day's work.

If not; well, get some before the next major mission. We can't completely eliminate our impact on the environment; but we should all keep looking for new ways to keep reducing it as time goes on. Rublelvr

Also, if someone wants me to pick up a quart of BioPlus for a future hand-off, I could do that. I'll warn you - it is like $6 or $8 a quart. But if you use it only when cutting wood near a creek bed, one quart will last more than a year, even if you make multiple wood-clearing trips per year.

We did not make it up there due to the lack of help. I will not take Hunter back until the tree's are cleared out! If we can get enough help later on, we will try it again.

Aw man, now I've got to razz you! I've lost count on my "solo" missions - help makes it easier to clear more in less time, and it is always nice to have someone to send to look for Dr. Dale just in case you can't walk yourself out, and it is better if you don't finish up in the dark wearing a headlamp, but... all things are possible!
