The National Geographic Trails Illustrated map of the West Half of the Buffalo National River shows the hiking trails in the area as well as the river. It's great for finding HiH, the goat trail to Big Bluff, Indian Creek, etc. The outfitters up there usually have the map and it's available online.
Here is the link to buy the map for $9.95

Anyone know what map has the goat trail that starts at the top of Indian Creek and heads east along the ridge then drops down and meets back up with the BRT/ORT between Camp Orr and Erbie? Which ever map that is also has the tiny trail that goes along the bluff out of Camp Orr that meets up with the ORT into Kyles. It isn't on the National Geographic map and I looked online at the 7.5' quad and it isn't on there either.
I can't remember which map it is, but it is a pretty nice loop starting and ending at the top of Indian Creek (plus you can shorten it if you like and take the road down to camp Orr instead of heading farther towards Erbie, though that last leg is pretty nice).

I bought my Buffalo maps at Lewis and Clark. They have the waterproof National Geographic maps. Best ones for the Buffalo I have found so far.

I had a great time hiking and camping at Buffalo. Thanks for all the tid bits.
We went to Lost Valley and hiked around Kyles to Indian Creek and Steel Creek. Would have made the trip to Hemmed in, but the little dog was already worn out....so back to camp we went.
