Great day for floating the Dragover loop, really enjoyed the company of Wally & Karl - - thx guys!

Susan - - the river level was lower than when we floated w/you last but we didn't have any areas where there wasn't enough water to float thru. The rapids were fun & the pools still had some movement. Wally could speak better to the level but I'm sure he's busy watching the LSU game :)

Wish we could join you tomorrow but have other commitments . . . hope you have as much fun as we did!! Only saw 2 other boats the entire float so you'll likely have the river much to yourselves.

Enjoy!!
Beth

fifty two -ten!!!!
great day on the ouachita. nice level. more like 2 feet than 3. got to brag on beth's son zach and his skills. 11 year old with a 12 foot perception carolina really knows how to handle that boat. enjoyed everyone's company. we could have brought 3 more people in carl's canoe. he did real well on the back end of tandem coleman canoe. and i think days like today make dave glad he came to arkansas. ready to do it again but not tomorrow susan. hope you find someone to go because i know you'll enjoy yoursself.

karl, you just looked so all alone in that big canoe. enjoyed paddling with you and getting to know you. you and i share a lot of common interests.

Sorry we missed both trips. Tyler doesn't get the chance to paddle with someone his own age very much, but the fun we had on the last trip was priceless :D.

Hey Louis!
Sorry you didn't make it this weekend ...
Be sure and check the water level. It was really going down fast this weekend. We didn't have to drag the boats, but it was bumpy in several places. If we don't have any rain between now and Oct. 18th, it may be too low.

Susan:

Thanks for the info. I'll watch the gauges & check into the mid-lower Buffalo as an alternate. Longer drive but worth it if thats the only water.

See ya on the river. Have you had your individual coaching paddling trip yet?
