I used congress.org and got one email sent to all my federal elected officials.
Sorry, but I did not keep a copy. I was so pissed that I just started keying on their web form.
I copied in that first paragraph of yours with the statements about the 65mpg car being sold in Europe and not here.
Then I asked them what they were doing to make this type of car available to the folks here in the USA that elected them to office.
No responses yet, Bush never sends any receipt - my representative almost always sends some sort of response and the two senators almost always sends back some sort of position paper.
It just blows my mind that Ford has the technology and capacity to build 65 mpg cars and our leadership in Congress will not allow them to sell the cars here because they are diesel powered.
I guess they would rather see the money go to the Europeans than stay here in the USA.
I think letters to the president are like pissing in the wind, no action taken.
Senators tho are up for election and are looking for donors and show more interest.
