Went on a new section of the war eagle today. Ebell and I had scouted it a couple of times and today the water was finally high enough to go on it. The run is about 3-4 miles and parallels CR 3105. It is a little narrow and has moving water pretty much the whole way with no pools. The best section is the top mile and a half, it has 3 or 4 2ft drops and several small rapids. There is one place where barb wire forced a portage, other than that there were just some small tree branches and root ball that hung out into the creek. The run was alot of fun, even at the low level it was today and looks like it will be alot better with another foot of water.

Where is this section in relation to Huntsville? Near hwy. 412/23/or further upstream?

Thanks.

its about 15 miles south of huntsville on the left hand side right before you pass over a large bridge. if you want to lap the top portion there is a road (no bridge) that cuts across the creek a mile and a half before the low water bridge that we used as the put in.
