I've seen the other entries about cutting the neck gasket. I have no idea what that means. I'd hate to destroy my new and unused (it's two months old--just can't wear the damned thing) dry suit.
Please-help!

Have you tried stretching the neck out? I think I used an empty paint can for 24+ hours on my dry top, and it was much better.

Hey Jim. I tried stretching mine for 2-3 months but it was still very tight for my liking. I eventually trimmed around the gasket rings and fit was much better and I have not had problems with leakage when I roll. You are an open boater as I recall, so a little trimming shouldn't be too much of a big deal, but everyone has there own preferences.

Thanks guys. I have tried stretching it, but perhaps not long enough. I'm glad I asked!

Try trimming the gasket two ring markers at a time. The manufacturers put ring markers on the latex to give you a guide on keeping the cuts straight. Then try on, and wear for two minutes. Go look in a mirror and if you are red faced and see veins on your head take it off and go trim two more rings. On a cold day the last thing you want is poor circulation to your noggin. Best of luck.
