Message Board: Can't Login/Stay Logged In

Post by Lupe » Mon Mar 15, 2010 1:17 pm

If you can't stay logged in, you need to clear your cache and delete your cookies (or at least your phpBB3 cookies for this board).

How to for most browsers:

http://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser's-Cookies" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Amos - were you able to log in over the weekend?

Some of have never had any problems logging in...but if you couldn't stay logged in and now can, that could be a very good sign. (fingers crossed)

OK, it looks like it'll work if you clear your cookies and cache and then try again. if you don't want to delete all cookies, the minimum you need to do is find the cookies with names that start with "phpbb3" and delete all of those. That worked for me on two different browsers today.

I use firefox and clear the cache and cookies and history - basically everything I can on firefox exit.

clearing firefox cache will solve a lot problems long term.

Owl - could you always log in, or did you have any trouble last week/over the weekend?

Lots of people emailed me to say they couldn't login, but I haven't heard back from any one who contacted me before to confirm that they can NOW login, so I can't tell if this is getting resolved or not.

Thanks

Sean, I am not up to date on explorer browser, but I bet if you just look around in the tools section you will find a option to clear cookies and clear cache.

once you try firefox and get hooked on the hundreds of addons and plug ins, you might switch

This covers how to delete cookies for all the major browsers:
http://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser's-Cookies" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Enjoy tossing your cookies,.
