WTB used rec. kayak for 100lb female

Post by noslonlo » Mon Mar 08, 2010 3:59 pm

Want to buy a used recreational kayak for my girlfriend. She weighs about 100 lbs and is about 5'4" tall. She will paddle it mostly on class 1 rivers (upper and middle Buffalo and Kings near Rockhouse). Thanks.

We have a 2005 Perception Carolina XS 12.0 ft. It's a junior/small adult model. Our son paddled it on the Buffalo, Caddo & Ouachita rivers . . . it
tracks very well on flat water & is easy to manage in faster water too.

Here are the specs:

Features
Bow and Stern Deck Rigging
Molded In Seat with Backband
Soft Touch HandlesSlideLock Foot Braces
Specifications
Length: 12' 2" / 369 cm
Width: 23" / 58 cm
Max Capacity: 200 lbs. / 91 kg
Deck Height: 9.5" / 24 cm
Weight: 38 lbs. / 17 kg
Cockpit Length: 29.5" / 75 cm
Cockpit Width: 17.75" / 45 cm

It's yellow & in excellent condition, always stored inside. Asking $250.00.

Located in Hot Springs but will be in Bentonville this Sat. & could bring the boat if you want to take a look.

We have a Dagger Approach 9 foot that is for smaller people. It has a drop down skeg (rudder) for flat water that helps you go straight. If you want to do some rapids then you put it up. It is called a hybrid because it can track straight and do some rapids. $470. Email for more pics. 501 548 1327 Here is a link to the company website.
