need paddle and instruction at UALR pool

Post by mambaman » Tue Mar 02, 2010 3:27 pm

I am buying a boat this wednesday, March 3. I would like to bring it to the UALR pool and learn how to roll. Would anyone be willing to teach me and lend me a paddle for the evening?

What boat are you buying? I don't have extra whitewater paddle, only rec one. I did borrow one at the pool where the extra boats were one day when I forgot mine. It was a whitewater paddle.

I plan to be there.

My first rolling instruction was really helped by using a swim mask (I wear contacts and don't open my eyes under water). The mask helps you see the paddle, etc. At the least, you'll need nose plugs unless you like having water in your sinuses.
