Not quite yet, but I know they are getting close to nailing down a date.

(I'm not really involved, but I'm friends with the folks who will be running it!)

I'll see if they made any decisions since the last round of discussion so we can get it announced as soon as possible.

I want to go, have been wondering . . . how long does it last and what does it cost? How many people are usually in the class? All I know is it's on the Spring River. Thanks.

Jan,
I've sent you a PM to try and answer your questions and give more insight into the Rec. School.

Best Regards
Jim

Jan, let me put in a plug for it since we went last year as students (and which is why we've recruited some friends to attend this year).

It's Friday eve to Sunday mid-day... I'm trying to remember the price. Maybe $60, plus whatever you have to pay for camping. Although it is a relatively large event you get broken into smaller groups (maybe 6-8 students with 1-2 instructors) for instruction and float time based on experience (and with canoes segregated from kayaks).

Really, really both a fun and educational time and also was a nice way to meet people. Good bang for the buck, too!
