It is a very good price... almost half-price. I don't think our paddlers appreciate what a little cata-raft like this can do... most streams and rivers up to Class II and maybe above, stable, and easy to manuver. While this one was designed to fish from, it would also make a very good all-around beginner boat... or a great lake fishing rig if you add a trolling motor... But, it lives quietly in a cool place protected from light, so it isn't hurt by non-use... I hope someone will give it a good home and use it a lot more than I have!! Please spread the word it's available! Thanks!

Sergei Makogonov had videos of taking catarafts down Siberian whitewater. Much more than class II!

So you deflate the pontoons and have a bag to put the parts in? Any way to carry a grandkid?

Yes, you deflate the tubes, the frame takes apart, and it lives in its own small bag. This is pretty much a one-person cat... not made for family jaunts...

As for taking a cat on bigger water, I have a 17' cat that handles that and a 12' Star that handles like a cat for lower volume streams here in Arkansas... Both are super boats for their respective uses!! This little cat's uses are taking one adult-sized person down Class II (plus?) streams and rivers to fish or just for fun... !! It does have room to carry some gear, too! Crane

John, As for taking grandkids, I have a brand new little 9' Star raft that would be the ticket for a grandpa and several kids!! Put a little oar frame on it and it would also take you on lots of neat streams and rivers to fish!
But, I don't think I'm ready to sell it off... yet! I plan to use it to get my granddaughter and two of her friends on the Spring this spring... There are a number of little rafts out there right now that do a super job of hauling two or three folks in comfort and safety!! Crane
