Anyone know if there was snowfall last night on the Buffalo River? I'm planning a New Year's Day snow float, and am wondering if there will still be any on the ground on Friday.
Any info appreciated!

I went to go see what it looked like today in the rain. and it's at a good level. the water was pretty jade green , yes ,it has some rapids but nothing like cadron. it's small creek like at the start at marble and then opens up some it's 8 or 10 miles it's pretty hard to catch with water this far up stream. most people float 30 miles down stream around eureka springs,. or berryville.can't promise you'll see any eagles but it wouldn't surprize me i haven't seen a hand count yet but hope to meet at the kings river store on hwy 412 in marble at 9:30 and off load canoes and set shuttle. for a happy new year!!

Wish we could join you on the Kings, but we've gottta do the Buffalo because of time restraints for some in the party. Your talk of polar bear swimming has me scared too!
lol you guys have fun. We'll send a shout out over the mountain when we tip our canoes :)
