Me and Ricky and Jason Grey were out there yesterday and it was great! smooth ride once you get in...I had trouble last weekend getting in and I realized my seat was moved all the way forward...moved it back some and I was able to float over those two lines a lot easier...
but that level is definitely a great level to surf...it is not a chunder hole or anything...about the same features just slightly bigger....we are looking at it now to see if they are going to drop the level because they are forecasting rain on Sunday...I don't think it will stay at 6800cfs but it will still be good...will try to keep everyone posted...Can't wait to see you all out there this weekend. the only bad thing is that there will be so many of us that the eddie line will be hard to contend with for some. Peace

Tommy....I think the whole West side of Arkansas will be there Saturday!! I don't think you have to worry about NOT having anyone to paddle with! :D
I have heard rumor that Eric Jackson may be out there too...just a rumor right now though...I am waiting on James to let me know. My brother owns the local paper and if he comes I want him to come out and do a story on it...
anyway, see you tomorrow

Hey Michelle - I suspect that the EJ thing is a rumor. With the New River Dries running, I would guess all the pro boaters would be there. Like you said, a rumor :)

Ok ... here is the deal.... No EJ , No Megan Fox(wait she's not a boater, but might look good in a dry suit  ... just the local and not so local God gifted talents will be at the show  .

We have gotten info that the release rate for Wister will NOT change from Friday through Monday. Now keep in mind that rain is in the forecast and may force the Corps to make changes, but they don’t foresee any changes even with the predicted rain at this time( Jeff will be calling at 3pm to give us the official status for the weekend and I will follow up with this post at that time).

So get off your can's :poke: and lets show the OK crew that we are behind them  and we are willing to take advantage of their wave...

65-85 depending on the rooms. they are nice and overlook the lake... you pay for them the same place you pay for camping....and i agree. the eddie is hard enough with just three or four people out there...i am with waterhog...LOW PROFILE! Although i think it's a litttttttttttle tooo late for that! lol

This could be sweet. I could go duck hunting in the morning and go surfing in the afternoon. :D

Spanke and I went out there today. Started boating at 9AM got done at 2PM. Pretty surgey, still good quality fun, got better as the day went on. Wish I could join everyone this weekend, but won't be able to. Ya'll have fun out there!

I hope it is just a typo - I keep waiting for the 5pm update, but apparently the COE made a gate adjustment at 4:15pm which dropped the level about 800 cfs.
