First Descent of Haags Hollow (III+ to IV+)

Post by FarPastGone » Wed Oct 28, 2009 7:51 pm

Jeremy Meyer, Cole Bailey, and I ran this creek on Monday (26th) at a low level. It was fun, but could have used some more water. I put a report up about it with all the essential beta and a video on my blog:

If you have any questions about it shoot Jeremy or I a PM or call. We figured III+ to IV+ was a fair rating for it because it was not overly challenging, although the mini-gorge slides on it would be with more water, but it is fairly remote and has quite a few hazards.

Enjoy!

Sweet looking stuff. When it really sluices a bunch of water, defintiely some wild water in there I'd bet.

Cool creek. More water would spice it up, for sure. You young boys keep up the good work. There are still plenty of FD’s to be had. Hiking and cleaning season is upon us (although, this rain keeps falling and falling)

Ya I heard some Indian ran that on a log way back just when you think you got an fd

But what tribe? Badasses like the Apache, or some weak Chippewa's or something?

Yep I think the Apache got the FD on that one. Or the Anasazi. Very likely.
