Wood on the Mother

Post by debmoore » Sat Oct 24, 2009 7:08 am

There is a tree on the Mother with a limb extending down and into the creek. Last report is it's blocking the river-left run. Don't think I've seen the leaf colors this awesome, the road to Treat is knocked out (as in gorgeous, beautiful, breath-taking, etc). Be careful out there and....Go Hogs!

Please clarify / more info? Is this a "landslide" issue that we can no longer get to Helton's, or a short-term issue like down trees that will be all cleared up in a week or two? Anything we can do, or will the Forest Service take care of it?

Thanks, Cooper. I need to be more careful with my choice of words. I corrected it on my 1st post, but I meant really beautimous!

LOL, yeah, what Deb said. The colors on the Wolf run yesterday were powerful on the eyes not mention the background.

Paddled from Helton's to Twin Bridges yesterday, level 6.5'. Had a blast. Turned out to be a warm sunny day. Everything's clear, at that level anyway. The tree at the entrance to Roller Coaster is gone and so is the tree on the mother. Surfing Rapid was huge, had to really bust it through there.
