Friday AM

Post by Josh Sanford » Wed Oct 21, 2009 11:35 pm

Jinxes notwithstanding, it doesn't seem too early to start making plans for a trip on Friday morning.* Anyone going to be available for something in the Pope/Newton County area? Such as Richland or Falling Water? Or if it rains hard farther west, does anyone like Salt Fork or the other Mulberry tributaries?

Josh

* Normally I would not say this is true, but EVERY weather predicting source that I have found is talking about 1 to 2 inches in the north central part of the state.

Thinking about taking tomorrow off and heading west for a Richland run and/or others. Haven't ran it before, so some knowledge of the put-in, takeout, and features would be nice.

Possibly heading out tonight.

Wish I could do it. Still laid up from surgery. Damn. If you end up down near White Rock (vs Richland), I'd recommend Spirits or Little Mill instead of Salt Fork. Hard to beat Spirits at a big level. Just watch out for the mud-hole-from-hell on the shuttle road. May have to shuttle on the east side if that thing is still on the west-side road.
