Richland Creek
Does anyone know if the road from Ben hur to Richland Creek campgrounds is open? I have not been there since early in the spring and the road at that time was still blocked form a landslide.
Re: Richland Creek

Re: Richland Creek
When you say "the road from Ben Hur", there are two possibilities. If you go North from Ben Hur, through Iceledo Gap and Dickie Junction, then you can still get to the campground. If you go south from Ben Hur, then over to Falling Water, and then north towards the campground, then you will run into the landslide / blocked road about 1.5 miles before you get to the campground.Michael Moorhead wrote:Does anyone know if the road from Ben hur to Richland Creek campgrounds is open?

Re: Richland Creek
Cowper, any new updates on clearing the landslide? Also, I'm not familiar with Falling Water at all....is there any access besides footing it?

Re: Richland Creek
I've got some contact names; I need to get a new update on the landslide but my understanding is that it will be repaired, it is just taking a long time due to required (large) funding.
It would be relatively easy to run the top half of FW, but running the lower half will not be practical until the landslide is repaired, UNLESS you have a dedicated shuttle driver. All access points are still accessible by car, so technicallly it is not required to "hoof" it. It is just a matter of how long the shuttle is...
