I was just looking at the pictures and although the impact overall would be small, the dam is going to kill CO2 consuming trees at a time when we need to be fighting global warming. Increasing rather than reducing trees capable of offsetting CO2 production sends a wrong message. Especially since the dam is not necessary for providing Van Buren with a suitable water supply.
The Corps needs to be reminded that one of the reasons their commander-in-chief was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize was for his commitment to the effort to reduce mans impact on global warming. This is a slap in his face.
BTW, Ms. Cameron turned down my offer to float the Buffalo.
