For those spending the night tonight, please post here where you will be staying. If no one posts, the default campground will be Buffalo Point in the large walk-in camping area. To get there as you are driving on Hwy 14, turn east at Wild Bills and go to Buffalo Point. Follow the signs to the stop sign at the bottom of the hill. Turn left at the stop sign and you will see the Walk-in area on the right.

With a rising chance of rain, i did my duty and came home so the others would be hy and dry.
HERE are some pics.. the ones after mr elk... he was last weekend.
Added Sun morn
I got on here to post some more about the trip. THIS post kinda changed my mood. I have no words... only prayers. Can't imagine not having one or both of my little men.
Thanks again so much for all the support to me and my guys. Floating with all you guys makes doing a beautiful river only better. Thanks to the Lord for the blessing of such friends.
And Richard, as far as our conversation about your days on the river, I figure in a couple more years, my bow man will be in his own boat. As long as I can you are welcome to my bow man position anytime. As long as you don't ride like THIS GUY.

As always, we had a great time on the river in spite of the Sunday AM sprinkles. Richard, thanks for taking me along, I enjoyed meeting your grandsons. I'm really thankful we only had to do 1 1/2 miles to Rush Sunday, as it would have been miserable paddling in the rain all day.... and Eric and Susan, thanks for your generousity in sharing your food and Suan T. those were the best cookies I've had in a long time.....Pam

What a perfect day on Saturday. What a . . . uh . . . Even with the rain, I was grateful to be on the Buffalo with wonderful friends on Sunday. Thank you all for making my life richer. I can't wait to be with yall again on such a special river.

Wow. Now I feel guilty. I took my camera with an all charged up battery and a spare, and I did not take a single photo, nor have I unloaded any from the last 5 trips. Been having some problems with a broken USB connection on this computer, will try to get James to let me download them and send them from his.
Had a great time with all of y'all and hope to keep doing it. Remind me to take more pictures. Think Susan will be paddleing the Skreem more. She's really happy with it most with her old school paddle. Susan's also made me promise to pare down the volume of stuff I carry in the canoe on overnighters. I admit I've loaded to excess a couple of times, but seem to always get away with it. NOT Setting a very good example, I guess, but always has some different priorities.
Watching Richard load his Subaru Forrester, got me to thinking out loud that I might carry less if we had a Subaru, but Susan said I would just get a trailer or larger racks, and I have wanted to get a canoe trailer with a cargo box or a raft trailer or one that could be converted to do both..... Susan said a raft is not in the budget anytime soon, and WE have been there and done that with two 16 foot rafts in the past. She did like the new pads for the tent and seeing everyone and the salad bar, but said only one cooler next time.

Thanks to Roger and Richard for putting this together. What a legacy that is being established here. Great times and even greater people. Here's a shameless pitch. If you've never taken one of these trips, you are truly, truly missing out on a wonderful family friendly experience. It doesn't take a lot of gear - just a willingness of heart and a kid-like love for the outdoors and a beautiful river. You owe it to yourself to make one of these trips soon!!!
