FACT: the kayak instruction program at OBU could use some newer boats. The Eskimo boats we have are still serving us but the boats are over ten years old and their designs are even older. One of the obstacles to getting some newer boats is a sailboat the Leisure Studies department is having to pay monthly slip fees for. So, if my ACC friends could help me get this boat sold, I could start angling to divert some of those slip fees to new kayaks.
The sailboat is a 1995 22’ Catalina with trolling motor and a cabin below. Asking price $1200. I don't have any more particulars, but Tona Wright is the contact person at OBU, and she can fill in the details. Her phone is 870 two four five 5295.
So, if you have a friend, acquaintance, relative, even enemy who might be interested in a boat bargain, please pass the word.

Re: a little help from my friends
Hey Brian, I have the business phone number of "BBC" Blair's British Cars. Ask for Chuck Blair. 501.372.3033.He's the current Commodore at "GMSC" Grand Maumelle Sailing Club. Maybe he could hook you up with an advert on their web site for the Catalina. I have not been sailing for many years but I still know who is who. If he cant help, nobody can. Sail boats are unusually slow to sell, but keelboat racing is starting November first, so timing might be right. Catalina's aren't fast, but have quite a handycap when racing.
I wish you the best of luck disposing of said boat to help build the paddling program.
