Anybody want to paddle Lee Creek Wednesday afternoon?
Anybody want to go out to Lee Wednesday afternoon? I am hoping to get out there early afternoon tomorrow. I could leave Fayetteville anytime after about 12:00 probably. Would like to be back by 5:00 or 6:00.
Note: I am talking about putting in at the 220 bridge, not the upper run that starts in Devil's Den.
Let me know if you want to go.

(FYI - I won't be able to answer my phone until after 10:30 or so tomorrow morning)

if you change your mind on the devil's den run call me. it's a 31/2 hr drive for me. but it would be worth it to paddle the last section of the last river in the west ozarks chapter of tom.s blue book. robert 870+329-1159

Robert - I'd like to do the Devil's Den run sometime, but I have only been on white water a few times and I'm afraid that the Devil's Den run would be a little too much for me right now. I hope you find someone who can do it with you!

Lee from DD to 220 is not any harder than 220 to ACC takeout.
It is a little more narrow and there are strainers, but that's it.
If you catch it when the river is at 9ft, it is a more difficult section.
Right now, it's easy peasy.

Still hoping to go out there soon, if anyone wants to go. From what Half Ton said, and talking to one of my friends, I think I'd be fine on the Devil's Den run...but Robert said that he heard that it needs more water...
I'd love to head out there sometime between 1:00 and 2:00, preferably closer to 1:00. Let me know if you want to go (or paddle anything in NWA this afternoon, really - I just want to get out!)

UPDATE: Me and someone else are about to head out to Lee Creek to do the run starting at the 220 bridge. Should be leaving Fayetteville by 1:30. Hopefully Lee will hold enough. Anyone who wants to come, feel free to meet us out there.

Had a great time on Lee Creek. A few low places, but my first white water kayak experience went without a hitch - thanks Austin!
